Homes and Services
Providing excellent services is important to us so we need to be very clear about what our standards are for the services we provide. We also need effective monitoring systems to assess whether we consistently achieve these.
Tenant involvement is at the heart of everything we do and our Tenant Panels are at the centre of scrutinising our performance in delivering services. Our Scrutiny Structure features ‘Core’and ‘Compliment’ activities. The Core structure is an integral part of Bernicia’s decision making processes and comprises 5 tenant panels;

The structure places tenants at the centre of scrutinising performance, driving contrinuous improvements and delivering value for money. We aim to engage with a wide range of tenants, therefore our Core Scrutiny structure is supported by ‘Complimentary’ Activities. Information from these events is fedback to the scrutiny panels to ensure their considerations represent the views and recommendations received from a range of sources. Complimentary activities would include our annual residents’ conference, mobile office visits, estate surgeries etc.
