Older Persons and Supported Housing

Some older people have specific housing needs and we have some homes usually flats or bungalows that have extra features or facilities to help a people to live independently in a safe and secure environment. We have two types of accommodation that will enable older people to live an independent life, but have access to support when they need it.

Sheltered Housing

In sheltered housing residents have their own self contained flat or bedsit with its own kitchen and bathroom with the extra benefits of having a day time warden and communal facilities.

A communal lounge area is provided in all sheltered housing schemes to encourage social activities and gatherings, such as bingo, coffee mornings, Christmas parties etc.

A guest room is available for relatives or friends to stay for short periods. A small charge is payable. You will need to contact the warden to book the room.

If you are under 75 years of age you will be entitled to a concessionary TV licence for just £7.50 a year.
